01/18/10 – Knutson Projects Receive ARM Building Excellence Awards

    MINNEAPOLIS, MN., January 18, 2010 — Knutson Construction Services is proud to announce that the Children’s Hospital Renovation and Expansion project in Minneapolis, Minnesota has received a first place award in the Commercial Building Project category from the Aggregate & Ready Mix Association of Minnesota (ARM). In addition to the first place honor, the Children’s project also received ‘Special Recognition’ for the use of concrete in a project. Knutson’s valued partner AVR, Inc. supplied the concrete on this award-winning project.

    A second Knutson project was also recognized during the ceremony - Sandra’s Garden of Hope at the Park Nicollet Frauenshuh Cancer Center was awarded first place in the category of Aesthetic Appeal. "We are very excited to be recognized by ARM for our concrete work on these projects.     The Aggregate & Ready Mix Association of Minnesota was founded in 1950 as a statewide, nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the knowledge, education and awareness of concrete and to monitor government activities and regulations that may impact its members. ARM's Building Excellence Awards are presented annually to recognize projects that involved unique or innovative uses of concrete and aggregate
