    Knutson and Linn-Mar High School

    Celebrate New Stadium

IOWA CITY, IOWA – August 24, 2011 – On Saturday, Linn-Mar Community School District cut the ribbon on their new $9.1 million football stadium, allowing the community their first peak at the project they helped fund through a local option sales tax. The project was awarded to Knutson Construction back in 2009 and was completed in early spring 2011, in time for Linn-Mar to hold their track invitational. The stadium seats 6,000 and features synthetic field turf, an 8-lane synthetic surface track, and boasts the same sound system as the University of Iowa’s Kinnick Stadium.

“Linn-Mar should be proud at having positioned themselves as having one of the premier high school stadium facilities in Iowa. We wish the Lions good luck at their first home game at the new stadium on September 2nd against Cedar Rapids Kennedy” says Brad Johnson, Vice President and General Manager of Knutson Construction, Iowa City.
