Linn-Mar Stadium Opens to a Packed House
IOWA CITY, IOWA – September 7, 2011 – On Friday Linn-Mar High School hosted its first varsity football game of the season, against Cedar Rapids Kennedy, filling all 6,000 seats! The Linn-Mar Lions played a fantastic game from the start and beat Kennedy 42-14.
Knutson finished construction of the stadium in the spring of 2011, and while the facility has had soccer and track events, the community has long awaited its first varsity football game. Congratulations Lions on your win, and we are very proud to have been part of the excitement.
