The Health Center is a $6.9 million, 27,900 square foot LEED Silver Certified facility. The architectural features include exterior pergolas, patterned brick, EIFS, vaulted ceilings, and unique sun beam patterned soffits and flooring. Although it is a relatively typical sized clinic, the number of services offered within a single building is uncommon. The services provided include:  Family Practice Clinic with six exam rooms, Radiology, Ophthalmology, Pharmacy, Three Dental Operatories, Family Services Counseling, Community Health Offices, and Eight Long Term Care Rooms, with Kitchen and Dining Area.

The project has met several challenges. The owner provided medical equipment has had delayed procurement and there have been issues obtaining and delivering components of the mechanical heat pump system. But perhaps the greatest challenge came in the record setting rainfall and flooding of the Iowa and Cedar Rivers at the start of the project. The wet weather caused foundation work delays, closed roads, and labor shortages. Despite these challenges the Meskwaki Health Center is a beautiful and welcome addition to the Meskwaki Settlement.
