Dakota Station
Knutson was hired in 2005 to build the Dakota Station and Convenience Store. The first portion of the project consisted of a 3,200 sq. ft. convenience store, including a large cooler section, deli and kitchen. The exterior of the facility was given two canopies, five gas pump islands, one diesel pump island, and a 1,500 sq. ft. parking lot.
Knutson was hired again in 2009 to add a single bay touch-less automatic car wash facility. This portion consisted of split face masonry walls, bar joist, deck, ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) roof and slab-on-grade with radiant heating. This was a design-build project with the mechanical and electrical contractors also working under a design-build agreement.
