Using funds made available by the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority (MPHA), Sherman Associates and Knutson Construction have teamed up to develop a new senior services center in Heritage Park located in north Minneapolis. The Heritage Park Senior Services Center is a 69,597 square foot facility and houses a YMCA, a clinic, offices for MPHA and ARRA authorities as well as several other community resources. The YMCA at Heritage Park offers adults 50+ enriching fitness programs aimed at greater independence and self-reliance.
