Kingsland Public Schools Facility Upgrades

Knutson Construction was awarded a $12.2 million Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) project for the Kingsland ISD #2137, which serve the Spring Valley and Wykoff communities in southeast Minnesota.

In 2016, Knutson partnered with Architects Rego + Youngquist (after previously completing two education projects with) on the prospect of an IAQ and Gym addition for the Kingsland District. After assisting the Kingsland School Board through two school referendum’s that were unsuccessful, Knutson came aboard and assisted the School Board this spring with alternate pricing which allowed them to pursue alternate funding from the Minnesota Department of Education that didn’t require voter approval for the IAQ project, as well as, identified a 10 year plan to complete some long term maintenance items. By helping Kingsland ISD with their IAQ projects, Knutson has been able to notice and address space concerns in the future due to limited gymnasium space and lack of performing arts resources and continues to help with their future planning for years to come to accommodate their growing community.
