Central Sterilization Services Facility

UIHC Central Sterilization is a 48,710 SF stand alone facility that will service the cleaning and sterilization of the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics equipment, as well as other facilities across the country. The 39,580 SF main level will consist of loading docks/receiving areas, decontamination, assemblies, sterile storage, and offices. There will be a 9,130 SF second story mechanical penthouse.

Fun Fact: This is only the 5th stand-alone central sterilization services facility in the United States. It will serve an estimated 107 different healthcare facilities within and outside the UIHC systems.
