DBIA Upper Midwest Region 2022 First Place Project of the Year Award

We are proud to announce that the University of Minnesota, Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain project has been named DBIA Upper Midwest Region 2022 First Place Project of the Year.

Knutson was selected for the University of Minnesota Masonic Institute of the Developing Brain project in December 2019. HGA and Knutson Construction were originally selected to provide the pre-design study report for this $27M project and carried our partnership through a competitive Design-Build RFP process. The project included remodeling 115,000 square feet of the existing property previously occupied by Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Minneapolis, MN. The property was purchased by the University of Minnesota to create a new institute to combine clinical, research, and community teams into one location while researching children’s brain health, especially within the first 1,000 days of life.
