Knutson Wins New Associated General Contractors of Minnesota DEI Impact Champion Award
On January 17-18, 2023, the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Minnesota held their annual Construction Summit at the St. Paul RiverCentre. Several Knutson Construction employees were in attendance when the company was awarded a DEI Impact Champion award for their initiatives in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
AGC’s DEI Awards were a new offering this year, given in four separate categories: Diverse Business of the Year; DEI Excellence – Specialty Contractor; DEI Excellence – Service Provider / Supplier (Affiliate member); and DEI Excellence – General Contractor, which Knutson was awarded.
This award highlights Knutson’s steadfast internal efforts to build and maintain a culture that wholly supports diversity. Knutson has strived to increase our percentage of supplier/subcontractor relationships and commitment to working with diverse businesses on projects. Our continuous work mentoring and partnering with those businesses through the Knutson Alliance Program (KAP) helps set our diverse partners up for success and allows Knutson to continue to improve diversity workforce participation. This has been and will continue to be a growing part of our corporate strategy.
Knutson has also pledged to provide a Culture of CARE per award submission guidelines. Being an Impact Champion of this, Knutson firmly believes in and strives to advance the construction industry as the industry of choice for diverse and talented workers.
