The MidWestOne main office renovation consisted of five phases of renovation and modernization to the bank’s existing six-floor facility. On the upper floors, a majority of the existing interior walls were removed to make accommodations for new office spaces and work areas. A glass fiber reinforced cornice was installed on the building’s existing face brick to add to the facility’s historic aesthetic.

The historical renovation included exterior masonry maintenance, new windows, new roof, installation of a GFCR cornice at the top of the building on two sides, refinishing extisting wood floors and terrazzo floors, refinishing all existing plaster walls, changing the existing radiator heating system to a heat pump system, replacing all electrical and data, and renovating the main lobby to its original condition.

On the main level and public areas, the spaces were modernized with new work and conference rooms, an updated teller line, new windows, a glass curtainwall entrance, and mechanical improvements.

The project also included a full renovation of the second level 1984 building addition. This existing office space was completely gutted and new offices installed.
